"Believe in yourself or no one else will."
In last weeks episode,Landing at Point Rain, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ki-Adi-Mundi were responsible for leading an assault on Geonosis to reach the valley in front of a battle droid factory. They were given a small amount of ships and most of the clones did not make it to the landing point. This episode was about believing in yourself because all of the Jedi were in trouble but kept on going and fighting because there were people depending on them and they had to keep believing in themselves. I liked this episode because it showed how persevering and believing in yourself can really help you.
When the three groups were flying to the landing area Anakin's fleet and Ki-Adi-Mundi's fleet were shot down. The only group that made it to the landing area was Obi-Wans's fleet, but they only half their ships land. Each fleet was about six ships, one Jedi and 50 clones. When Anakin and Ahsoka tried to walk to the landing area they accidentally ended up at a Geonosian fortress where the lost even more clones. By the end of the episode Anakin Ahsoka, Rex, and seven clones made it it the landing area. When Ki-Adi-Mundi was shot down he also tried to walk to the landing area and he was injured. They started walk and unfortunately the fastest way was to go through a cave that was full of Geonosian warriors. In the cave most of the clones where killed and after Ki-Adi-Mundi escaped with his men there was only 13 of them left. This episode was the first part of a siege on Geonosis and the Geonosians proved to be a formidable foe to the Jedi. With most of the clones killed the three Jedi had to believe in themselves to make sure that they got through with as many clones as the could. I though that this episode was very good and showed that in a tough spot believing in yourself can be very valuable. I think that this episode would get a 3.5 out of 5.
"No gift is more precious than trust"
The second episode, Weapons Factory, was about the actual battle to destroy the factory. Master General Luminara Unduli and her padawan Barriss Offee came to aid Anakin and Ahsoka in the battle and they brought new clones as reinforcements. In this episode it showed that Anakin did not really trust Ahsoka to get the job done without his guidance or assistance. I thought that this episode was good because it showed that it is important to give your trust to others so that they are able to do things without you.
The battle plan for this episode was to have Anakin and Luminara lead the clones to the gates of the factory and have the main battle as a decoy as Ahsoka and Barriss went through the catacombs to get to the main reactor and they were do set bombs to destroy the factory from the inside out. Anakin did no like this plan because he did not want to leave Ahsoka to do something without him. As the battle took place many of the clones died because they were outflanked by the Geonosians and the battle droids. The padawans went through the catacombs and they eventually did reach did reach the main reactor room but they were met by more battle droids and they had to fight to be able to set the bombs. The clones and Jedi outside were forced to retreat after the Geonosians sent out new tanks that had special shields that did not allow any of the weapons to penetrate the exterior. The Geonosians took all of the bombs that the padawans set during their little battle in the reactor room and then they did not know what to do once the Geonosians go away with all of their bombs. The finally decided that their only choice was to destroy the reactor with a tank and destroy the factory and themselves. When the factory exploded Anakin insisted that they had to dig until they found their padawans because he refused to give up on them. Ahsoka and Barriss both survived and they but their trust into the masters to find them and it paid off because they got them out alive. This was disturbing to Master Unduli, she was happy to see her padawan but she was also ready to let her go if it was her time. Anakin would not let Ahsoka die and he would not let anything stop him from finding her. Anakin's determination led Master Unduli to tell him that "It's not that I gave up, Skywalker, but unlike you, when the time comes, I am prepared to let my student go. Can you say the same.". I thought that this episode was very good because it showed the value of trust in others. I thought that it was important for Anakin to learn to trust Ahsoka because he will not be able to fight in the war if he is always worrying about her. I thought that Ahsoka and Barriss made the right choice to sacrifice themselves to destroy the factory and save countless lives somewhere else.I would give this episode a 4 out of 5.
