Ten Thousand Years Will Give you Such a Crick in the Neck

The movie that had the greatest impact on me as a child was probably Aladdin. In my opinion it was the greatest movie ever. I still think of it as one of the best movies ever. It had everything like genies, flying carpets, adventure, and awesome music. I think that this movie had the greatest impact on me as a child because I watched it almost everyday. I could have told you every line in the movie and exactly what happens scene by scene, I could probably still give you a detailed description since I watched it so much. I think that Aladdin was one of the best Disney movies ever. One of the best parts of this movie was the songs in it, they were catchy and once they got stuck in your head they are in there for days. Prince Ali, Friend Like Me, A Whole New World, Arabian Nights, and One Jump are some of the best Disney songs ever in the movies. The Disney songs that are in the movies today are all really bad.

The message in Aladdin is that no matter how high your dreams are you can still reach them. I think that the message of Aladdin does not have the same effect on adults that it does on children. By the time an adult watches the movie they have already made most of their choices and have probably given up on their dream, if they have reached it yet. Children on the other hand still have time to make unthinkable goals and try to reach them and work towards them. Most kids probably don't understand the message behind the movie, I didn't, because they are not really looking for an underlying message. Now that I am older I can look back on the movie and see the message that it is trying to send to kids and I think that it would help some kids who do not have some of the opportunities that other kids have and might help them try to do better in life and find a way to get the opportunities that are presented to others. Overall I think that Aladdin is great impact on kids and adults, but more on kids. I think that watching Aladdin now would be very different for me than watching Aladdin when I was a little kid. The message of most kids shows/movies loses it's meaning as people get older and less impressionable.

This is one of the scenes from the movie where Aladdin meets Carpet, the flying carpet, in the Cave of Wonders.

One of the best parts of Aladdin was the songs by Genie, like Friend Like Me.

The trailer for the greatest Disney movie ever, Aladdin (1992).
