Tying Up Loose Ends

On Monday night House was on. The name of this episode was "Instant Karma". This episode was based around everyone trying to get their lives back to the way they were before House went to the hospital, before Foreman was department head, before Thirteen worked at the hospital and before Chase killed President Dibala. A billionaire came into the hospital and demanded that Dr. Gregory House treat his dying son. There were many problems with this case because dozens of doctors had already looked at the kid and they could find nothing wrong wit him except that he is dying. Foreman was asked by the board of the hospital to give a presentation on the Dibala case. Chase was afraid of Foreman would do at the presentation. Cameron was wondering what was wrong with Chase. House was trying to get Thirteen to come back to work at the hospital. Thirteen was trying to get away from her life at the hospital.

This episode started with the dying kid coming in with his father demanding that Dr. Gregory House treat his son. The only problem that Dr. Cuddy had with his request was the House has not received his medical license back yet after being admitted in a psychiatric hospital. So Cuddy decided to keep Foreman in charge of the department but House was to make all of the decisions and important choices. Foreman did not like this idea because if House messed up and the kid died than Foreman would have to take all the blame for it. Cuddy also told Foreman that he was to prepare a presentation of the board on the Dibala case. Chase tried to help Foreman make up a reasonable story to tell at the presentation because he did not want Foreman to tell everyone that he had killed Dibala. Throughout the entire episode Chase was giving Foreman new ideas and every time Foreman threw them back at him. Meanwhile House went and found Thirteen planning a trip to Thailand and offered Thirteen her old job, when she declined he hacked into her e-mail and cancelled her trip. Thirteen went to Cuddy, House and to Wilson trying to figure out what happened and none of them said anything. Wilson finally admitted to it and then went to House wanting the real story, House's reasoning was that she was an asset to the team, he chose her for a reason and he thought that Foreman was making a foolish and selfish mistake. The father of the dying kid thought that his son would get better if he gave all of his money away because of karma. After he gave his money away they decided that the son has a terminal illness and has only a few hours to live. After looking at some test results later in the day they realized that he did not have this disease and they started to treat him for a different illness and he was cured. Near the end of the episode Chase found an envelope on the table addressed to him and it was test results from a previous doctor that Dibala had seen and it shown that he had high cholesterol and that it could have caused what killed him. When Chase shown this to Foreman they both realized that sine neither of them had ordered it someone else in the hospital knows that Chase secretly killed a patient and Foreman did not turn him in.

I liked this episode because it tried to tie up all of the loose ends from the previous episodes in the rest of the season. I thought that House was right in thinking that the current power structure in the department is awesome because it would be great to be in charge of something but someone else take all of the responsibilities of being in charge. I think that House had different reasons for not wanting Thirteen to go away and that he just does not want of tell anybody. I still think that Chase should have to answer for what he did to Dibala and that he should not get away with murder. Since he has no consequences it shows that if you are a doctor you can get away with murder if you are just careful in what lies you tell. I thought that it was good the neither Foreman or Chase figured out who ordered the package with the test results because it makes them both worry about who in the hospital can end their careers whenever they want to. I liked the title of this episode because it related to the billionaire giving all of his money away so that something good would happen to his son and after a few hours his son had made a full recovery after being sick for months. I thought that this episode was very good and would be rated 3.5 out of 5.
